The RHC prioritizes expanding coverage for the uninsured and underinsured, achieving health equity, developing the health care workforce, and addressing social determinants of health.

The Missouri Legislative Session happens each year between the months of January and May. Each legislative cycle, the RHC tracks state actions that could significantly affect the St. Louis health care system. The RHC has agreed to prioritize the tracking of such policy changes, report on the legislation’s potential impact on access to care, and help lead advocacy efforts to improve the St. Louis health care safety net. After each legislative session has concluded, the RHC will update the policy tracker to include bills which were signed by the Governor and became law. The RHC will also track policy changes and legislation at the federal level when the Missouri General Assembly is not in session.

The 2023 legislative cycle has ended, see the bills we tracked during session below.
