Dr. Heidi Miller joined the RHC in 2011. She currently serves as the Medical Director for the Regional Health Commission including the Gateway to Better Health Program.
Since 2003, Dr. Miller has served as a primary care doctor at Family Care Health Centers, one of the Federally Qualified Health Centers in St. Louis. Dr. Miller has consulted for multiple equity-driven safety-network health care organizations, and she was selected to serve on the Missouri Medical Home Collaborative Steering Committee and Missouri Oversight Committee for Medicaid.
Education and Involvement
Dr. Miller is a primary care physician and patient advocate who has focused her career on assuring high quality, trauma-informed, integrated, equitable health care for our most vulnerable patients. She trained at Yale University and Harvard Medical School, and completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Harvard’s Brigham and Women’s Hospital. She was recognized by St. Louis Business Journal as one of its 40-under-40 honorees, and in 2019 received the Health Care Champion Award from Missouri Health Care for All. Dr. Miller has testified to the Missouri House and Senate Committees on health policies affecting her patients, and she filed the Ballot Petition for Medicaid Expansion in Missouri for 2020.
