ST. LOUIS, June 2, 2022 — The St. Louis Regional Health Commission (RHC) is pleased to announce the addition of Pearlina Boyd, J.D., M.P.P.A., to its team serving as their Public Policy and Advocacy Director. In this role, Pearlina will be responsible for implementing the RHC’s regional advocacy agenda that maintains health equity in all policy and outcomes, supporting the organization’s vision of a region committed to achieving zero health disparities, and managing key advocacy relationships with stakeholders, partner organizations, and legislators.

Pearlina “Pearl” Boyd is a native of St. Louis, Missouri. Prior to joining the Regional Health Commission, she worked as a Public Policy Manager for a HIV/AIDS service organization in Washington D.C., held a Law clerkship at the Louisiana Department of Health, worked as a Law Clerk at the Louisiana Attorney General in the Criminal Division, and worked as a contractor in the Contracting Department for Home State Health (Centene Managed Care Entity).

Pearlina earned her Juris Doctorate (J.D.) in 2017 from Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and holds a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Public Policy Administration. She was also invited to speak in Beijing, China on the topic of Building Public Awareness Campaigns to control AIDS, and her overall experience in the healthcare industry. Pearlina is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association.
